Who We Are

True spirituality that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans, and widows in their troubles, and to refuse to be corrupted by the world’s values. James 1:27

Clement Arts Statement of Beliefs

Clement Arts is a Christian ministry committed to God’s Word (the Christian Bible) and telling others about Him. Our desire is to love all and to point all to the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we will consistently apply all elements of our held beliefs in our hiring practices, church partnerships, programs and classes. These beliefs guide and influence how we carry out our mission under the governance of our board of directors. We also recognize that students are an important part of our community and our ministry, so it is important for them and their families to be aware of what we believe to be God’s teaching on the following subjects/topics:

1.      The Christian Bible is the inspired word of God, and as such, we hold it as our highest authority and guide, against which all other claims are weighed. (2 Timothy 3:16)

2.      We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

3.      We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and was made human. He was crucified and died for our sins. On the third day, he rose again. He is seated at the right hand of God. He will come again. His kingdom will never end. (John 1: 1- 14; Hebrews 1: 3 - 5, 2: 5 – 18; Luke 1: 26 – 38; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15; Matthew 26:28; 1 Peter 2:24; John 20: 1 – 31; Acts 1: 1 – 3; 1 Corinthians 15: 1 – 8; Acts 1: 4 – 11; Ephesians 1:22, 5:23; Colossians 1:18; Revelation 19:11 – 16, 22: 7 – 21)

4.      We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit. He leads people to faith and is our counselor and encourager. (2 Corinthians 3: 17 – 18)

5.      We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We look forward to God making all things new, the resurrection of the dead, and life in the world to come. (Colossians 3:11)

6.      God created us to worship Him. We are all sinners and all fall short. We are saved by receiving God’s grace through faith in Jesus. We are adopted into God’s family. We are commissioned by Christ as His followers to serve through the local Church both in our community and around the world. (John 14:15 – 21; Romans 8: 1 – 11; 1 Corinthians 12:3)

7.      All humans are created in God’s image and therefore have inherent value and worth. According to God’s design and intent, sex difference (biological male and female) is an intrinsic part of who we are, and these two distinct, complementary sexes should never be denied or confused. (Gen. 1: 26 – 28)

8.      God created family as the provision for the nurture and care of children. As such, the Church should uphold and strengthen families, and the lifelong covenant of marriage between a woman and a man, as God’s design for the stability and flourishing of families. While same-sex marriage is legal in the United States, it does not represent a historical, Christian view of marriage. (Ephesians 5: 31 – 32; Hebrews 13:4)

9.      Christ commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves. We should serve all people while maintaining our convictions as people of faith. (Mark 12:30-31)
