At Clement Arts, we believe artistic excellence and Christ-centered discipleship belong together. Our ballet program nurtures strong, skillful dancers who are also kind, confident, and compassionate—using their gifts to glorify God. Students pursue classical ballet not for performance alone, but as an act of worship and a reflection of their Creator.

Honoring the Lord through Ballet

  • Through the art of ballet, we can honor and praise God in movement, artistry, and hard work

  • Ballet is a discipline as well as beautiful and fun. Approach each class with joy, humility, and dedication

  • Wear only ballet shoes on the studio floor, remain standing with a dancer's posture between combinations, and treat the barre with respect by not leaning or hanging on it.

Honoring Your Instructor:

  • Listen closely when the instructor is speaking.

  • Raise your hand and make sure the instructor is finished giving directions before asking a question.

  • Avoid talking or whispering during class, especially during combinations or demonstrations.

  • Listen and apply any correction given.

  • Show your gratitude by thanking your instructor at the end of class.

Honoring Your Fellow Dancers:

  • Keep your hands to yourself,

  • Remain quiet and attentive while you wait your turn.

  • Watch while others dance to learn from and celebrate your classmates.

  • If a student is having a hard time engaging in class, Instructors will support first with redirection. If needed, a student may be asked to take a short break and observe class off the marley (flooring). Continued difficulty may require adult support.

End of Class

  • Participate in the end-of-class révérence (curtsey) and creed.

  • Clapping at the end of class is a sign of respect and gratitude. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹
